Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an extremely popular American performer and actress. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her parents are from Polish descent (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in the entertainment industry in her early years. She went to her audition in 1992, and was then offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell, who was 13 when her mother signed as an agent was cast on advertisements for newspapers and television. In addition, Bell started taking classes in acting privately. Bell played a brief, uncredited role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the starring Dorothy role. Following graduation, Bell relocated into New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell quit university in 2001, and began taking on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit in Pootie Tang in 2001. The scene however it was cut and Bell's only role is the credits at the end. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
